WinOnX 64 App Reviews

This app did nothing but 1) Jam up the works twice within a half hour on my Macbook Pro (10.7.5) and nothing that I downloaded as an exe file ran properly. (Audio programs) Hate it - another reason why you either get the Mac version or you dont get anything at all.

it only works on 32 bit. If you try to run 64 it does not work

I’m mad that I paid for this app and it doesn’t work! I didn’t want to have to create a partition to use a .exe but regardless if I end up doing that or not this app is not an option

Do not buy this apps, do not waste your money. It does not worth even $0.1.

it is completely useless; total waste of money. it doesn’t even install applications unless if you have the right type of firmware. This didn’t work for my mac and it’s running on 10.9

It has handled every Windows app I need to use and did it well. I wish drag and drop support were possible, but overall I am satisfied.

I agree with most of the other reviewers. I guess it was worth a try for $5, but you apparently get what you pay for. In this case, nothing. Did not work for me. I would not recommend.

I just purchased this app to help me open a pdf (.lnk) file from a microsoft based creation. I followed the prompt to drag and drop and was met with a pop up that said file could not be found. This is from a pen drive that is in my macbook. Come on! The app asked if I wanted it to fix the link, which of course I did, and each time I clicked to fix the link, the app crashed, leaving me with nada. Dont waste your $5! Whoever wrote this is not following through as I see twice as many people rated it with 1 star like I just did. It begs me to ask who is giving this 3 or more stars and why?

tried to run internet explorer ..screen goes blank does not work

This app is the equivalent of burning 5 dollars. You open a windows application and it will not start up. You know why? Because this is a scam and the developers are nuts who barely know how to turn on a computer with their buck teeth. Thanks for wasting my hard earned money you hazards!

It was worth a shot but this doesnt work with Articulates Storyline 2. I guess Ill go back to using remote desktop. Cool software nonetheless.

Bought this to open exe files so i could install my windows native plugins on my macbook pro. Every time i click I get a pop up telling me the program unexpectedly shut down.

I bought this so I’d be able to run a single program that’s not available for Mac. It does that beautifully. I can even install a shortcut into the Launcher for the program and just click it’s icon as though it were native to Mac. It does everything I need it to do and does it quickly, unlike the other more well-known and more expensive programs. Highly recommended.

This app doesn’t work. I’m not sure why I believed the fake reviews with 4 and 5 stars, but I did… and paid the price for being gullible. DON’T BUY IT!

This app does not work with every Windows program nor does it claim to. Check the compatibilty database on the dev’s site FIRST - you’ll be a lot happier with the small price for this app. I’ve found WinOnX to be useful in several cases for programs that either did not have a Mac alternative or in cases where there was a very strong user preference for a particular Windows program.

It is incompatible with latest OS-X 10.10 Please update

I’m a teacher with a mac and needed to install some old software from a textbook. WinOnX opened the exe file and installed the whole suite of programs even though it said it had never seen the program installed by anyone else. Program works perfectly and even allows me to open and save files to mac HD. SImple, cheap, and powerful.

When I first got it, I thought “OOO AN APP THAT WILL FINALY RUN WINDOWS PROGRAMS :) !” wrong I can’t use it for anything. Whenever I try to use it, it says “Abnormal-blah blah blah” I click resolve problem but then it takes me to its website where i cant do anything. WASTE OF MONEY

I’ve used this to try and open up two seperate downloads. It will download and open up certain parts of the program, but whenever I try and open up the actual program it gives me and error code. It did this on both programs.
